Who
WHO aRE WE
The Who Is Carter Foundation started out as a family who sought possibilities for one child, Carter Abbott. Now, we are a community of families, caretakers, complementary medicine practitioners, and supporters who want to make possibilities available for all children facing a pediatric neurological condition.
What
WHAT DO WE DO
The Who Is Carter Foundation provides families with the access they need to information, cutting-edge research, and complementary treatment options for children with atypical neurological conditions.
How
HOW DO WE PROVIDE THAT ACCESS?
Through the development of TheBrainPossible.com.
The Brain Possible currently houses articles on 31 pediatric neurological conditions, over 50 complementary treatments for those conditions, and a searchable Practitioner Registry. The website also publishes a health and wellness blog with practical lifestyle applications, such as nutrition and detoxifying the home environment, and contains a catalog of products that are beneficial for the health and development of differently-abled children.
The Brain Possible Podcast, which shares the inspirational stories of parents and caregivers--as well as interviews with doctors, authors, leading thinkers, and paradigm-shifters in the realm of pediatric health and wellness--all in an effort to change the conversation around childhood brain injury from limitations to possibilities.
In the near future, The Brain Possible will feature interactive forums for families to support one another and support with insurance navigation.
We aim to make The Brain Possible the go-to resource for parents seeking the best treatment options for children with atypical neurological conditions. We also aim to make The Brain Possible a thought leader in addressing the complexities of pediatric neurological disorders.
Future
WHAT IS THE FUTURE OF THE WHO IS CARTER FOUNDATION?
We are in the beginning stages of producing a documentary that will feature the stories of families on their journeys from diagnosis to treatment and healing, ultimately showing the beauty that people from all backgrounds and walks of life found and continue to find in their lives with differently-abled children. This documentary will be a source of hope and encouragement to families facing similar challenges.
