It was devastating to witness baby Carter’s struggle as he was only just coming into the world. It was equally as heartbreaking to watch his parents struggle to make decisions with so little information available to them. But Carter’s parents never gave up. They remained positive after being told no over and over again. Their perseverance and promise to help others has been an inspiration. When we face adversity, the best any of us can do is to remain positive and never give up. As Thomas Edison said, “When you’ve exhausted all possibilities, remember this: you haven’t!
