It is my hope that Carter's story becomes the foundation for a new season of hope and healing for others. While I did not have the pleasure of meeting this sweet boy, he and his family will remain in my heart. Contributing to this precious cause has been a humbing experience; I look to the future of medicine as I pray for healing and comfort as his story continues to touch our hearts and inspire us to seek out possibilities for a cure.
